History
1945
The company was founded by Friedrich Braun initially as a trading
business in the field of agricultural engines and became a maker of such
machines later.
1970
At the beginning of the seventies, the trade business with rolling
bearings and accessories was developed and extended while the production
of agricultural engines was abandoned.
1984
Robert Braun took over the management.
1985 - 1987
Restructuring of sales and modernisation of the entire organisation.
1987 - 1988
Set-up of the enterprise resource planning and financial accounting systems using the IBM 36 and subsequently the AS 400 system.
1997
Introduction of electronic filing including workflow management.
2003
Review of corporate strategies and introduction of the corporate cockpit.
2004
Sabine Braun joins the management team.
2004/2005
Extension of the office building at the Geister Landweg site.
2005
Modernisation and further development of electronic archiving.
2007
Introduction of electronic invoice audit on the screen

Renewal and certification of quality management according to the latest standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008

Adaptation of the internal organizational structure to changing market
conditions (system “overtime working hours instead of short-time
working”)

Extensive renewal of communication software (Directword, Directmail)

Introduction of a delivery service “on the same day” for certain postcode areas

Beginning of building new logistics center with a significant expansion of slot capacity

Completion of the new logistics center and switching to paperless
picking, for faster and more accurate even error freer goods delivery

competitors.
