Shaft, V- and O-sealing rings
Shaft Sealing Rings
Shaft sealing rings are used to seal machine housings against the environment at protruding elements, such as shafts or push rods.
Application
Shaft sealing rings are used to seal rotating shafts and to seal spaces with small pressure difference.
Models
For the different models and further information, please look into the catalogue.
V-Rings
The V-ring is a solid rubber eleastic shaft seal that, when mounted onto a shaft, seals against a fixed running counter surface. The seal rotates with the shaft.
Operating principle
The V-ring is fitted onto the shaft with undersize and rotates with the shaft. The flexible sealing lip is flush against the sealing surface compensating any tolerances or angular deviations. The flexible sealing lip prevents liquid ingress and protects against dust from outside.
O-Ringe
O-rings are endless round gaskets with circular cross-section.
Application
Seals non-moving machine components against liquid and gaseous media.
Material properties
Apart from the most frequently used ‘NBR’ material, there are other
materials for versatile applications (higher pressures, chemically
aggressive media, high temperatures, etc.). For further information,
